Sean Cullinane, the Waterford full back, is doubtful for Sunday's Munster hurling final replay in Thurles. The experienced defender was included in the team announced on Tuesday but it seems he has not recovered from the hamstring injury which forced him to leave the field 10 minutes into the second half against Clare last Sunday.
It is understood that Cullinane is having intensive treatment but he is "struggling" for fitness. He would be badly missed, especially as his fellow veteran Billy O'Sullivan has been left out of the side, with Michael White, who came on as a substitute last Sunday, selected at right corner forward at O'Sullivan's expense.
If Cullinane is not fit to play, the selectors have several options. They could do what they did on Sunday by bringing Mark O'Sullivan in at right corner back and moving Tom Feeney into the centre. Or they could move Stephen Frampton from wing back to the corner.
