THE GALWAY hurling final replay, which was called off at the weekend due to an unplayable pitch, has been fixed for next Sunday in Athenry (2pm).
The game will go ahead on Sunday, despite Galway football champions Killererin taking on St Brigid’s of Roscommon in the Connacht club final 25 miles away in Tuam at the same time.
Meanwhile, the club championship continues to wind towards its climax with only two provincial final pairings yet to be decided.
The Munster Council announced yesterday their hurling final between Waterford champions De La Salle and Tipperary champions Thurles Sarsfields will be played at Páirc Uí Chaoimh on Sunday week, November 28th.
The Connacht football final has been fixed for Tuam Stadium this Sunday, where Galway champions Killererin meet Roscommon champions St Brigid’s, with a 2pm start.
The Leinster football final pairings will also be decided this Sunday, after Kilmacud Crokes of Dublin play Garrycastle of Westmeath at Parnell Park, and Skryne of Meath play Rhode of Offaly at Páirc Tailteann in Navan – with both having a 2.30pm start.
Likewise, the Munster football final pairings will be decided on Sunday after Nemo Rangers of Cork play Stradbally of Waterford at Páirc Uí Chaoimh, and Aherlow of Tipperary play Dr Crokes of Kerry, at a Tipperary venue yet to be confirmed. Both those games have a 2pm start.
The Ulster Council will meet this evening to decide the venue for their provincial football final, set for November 28th, where Crossmaglen of Armagh will play Naomh Conaill of Donegal.
The Leinster Council have also yet to confirm the venue for their hurling final, also on Sunday week, where O’Loughlin Gaels of Kilkenny will play Oulart-theBallagh of Wexford.
