NewsLuke Dempsey is set to be given another two-year term as manager of Longford senior footballers, who enjoyed a great championship this summer.
"Luke's term ended the evening we were beaten by Kerry, and we asked the clubs to submit nominations," said county chairman Martin Skelly. "The unanimous response was Luke should stay on, along with Declan Rowley and Eugene McCormack . . . it will be ratified at a meeting on Tuesday week."
Meanwhile, concerns over Brian Dooher's recovery from a knee injury have been allayed by Tyrone manager Mickey Harte. Harte has placed his faith in the attacker's determination to return next season. "If it can be done, there's one man that will do it," said Harte.
