National League / Premier Division / Cork City v UCD: With almost half the first team missing because of injury or suspension, UCD head to Cork for tomorrow's game hoping for a repeat of April's goalless draw at Turner's Cross but aiming, one suspects, to avoid a repeat of the meeting at Belfield where the Munster side ran out 5-1 winners.

City should have close to a full squad to chose from as Damien Richardson looks to consign their Uefa Cup defeat to history and refocus the players on their most important goal: the league title.

The home side's starting line- up is expected to be much as it was against Slavia - although Joe Gamble could return to the side after making way for Greg O'Halloran in midweek.

The students are without Alan Mahon and Alan McNally (both hamstring) as well as Tony McDonnell, Stephen Hurley and Brian Shorthall (all suspended).

"It's not what you want going down to Cork," said manager Pete Mahon, "and it looks like - with the exception of Mick O'Donnell, Anto Murphy and Robbie Martin - we'll be putting out a team made up of last year's under-21 side but we'll still give it a go."

A couple of players might end up making league debuts against the title contenders, including young centre half Séamus Long. "They'll all be up for it, but he's from Cork so he'll be going mad to play down there," says Mahon.
