Dettori lands 1,124 four-timer

The champion jockey was out of luck in France, but returned to form on Godolphin's Crested, who held on to win the first division of the Michael Clark Thank You Ladbrokes EBF Maiden Stakes at odds of 14 to 1.

Dettori was back in the winner's enclosure 30 minutes later when Ed McMahon's Bahamian Ballet (4 to 1) obliged in another maiden stakes.

The Italian rider notched his treble when another Godolphin runner, Spider Power (4 to 1), showed good speed in the closing stages to win a nursery handicap.

Dettori then rounded off a superb afternoon by steering Poker Player (2 to 1) to victory in the second division of the six-furlong maiden.

HOUSE SET: Amberleigh House is set to make his seasonal reappearance at Chepstow on Saturday. The 13-year-old, who gave Ginger McCain a fourth Grand National success in April 2004, will be ridden by Aintree partner Graham Lee in the betfair.com Handicap Chase over three miles.

It will be his first outing at the home of the Welsh National and his 66th race over jumps.
