Under-21 Football Leinster Final/ Kildare 1-10 Dublin 1-10: For the second year in succession Dublin and Kildare will have to replay the Leinster Under-21 final after a thrilling draw in Navan on Saturday evening, when both sides grabbed a late goal.
Holders Kildare appeared to have wrapped up another title when full forward Ross Glavin fisted a delivery from Michael Foley to the net after 57 minutes. But Dublin rose to the challenge, substitute Daibheach Dineen levelling with a low shot.
After the sides were level (0-7 each) at the break Dublin suffered a setback: Mark Vaughan, who had kicked three points in the first half, was shown a straight red card immediately on the restart.
In a free-flowing contest in which 12 players scored, Kildare went two points ahead before their full back Richie Nevin picked up a second yellow card on 48 minutes.
Dublin got on level terms with points from corner back Ian Ward and Ger O'Meara before the two goals. James Kavanagh missed a chance to clinch the win for Kildare from a free. The sides will meet again at the same venue next Saturday.
