The second semi-final at Castle Avenue was a runaway spectacle with Old Belvedere winning as easily as Blackrock. The first half tries for Old Belvedere came in a quick 10 minute burst. Dave Keogh's kick ahead for left wing Des McHugh to chase opened the scoring before Keogh himself scored another just minutes later, taking the ball on the right wing for Donal Martin to convert. DLSP number eight Declan O'Brien was intercepted and Dave Keogh made the initial run in possession, off loading to out-half Simon Keogh who scored under the posts. While Phil Werahiko carried over for DLSP in reply, centre David Schmude added another try to take their lead to an unassailable 26-5 at half time.

Andy Dunne made a further contribution for Old Belvedere and Dave Keogh added another. Mark Cunningham hit back with a second for DLSP. Old Belvedere now face Blackrock College at Donnybrook on Friday evening.
