Scotland head coach Frank Hadden is refusing to rule out the possibility of Nathan Hines returning to the international fold.
The former Edinburgh Gunners lock left Scotland for Perpignan in the summer after falling out of favour with former national coach Matt Williams.
The 28-year-old left the Gunners for France as he felt it would be "unfair" to be playing for the professional club with no chance of a Scotland place. But the new Scottish boss maintains the international door is still open for the backrow forward.
Hadden said: "Nathan has not retired and I don't want to say anything that would compromise his situation."
