Knockbeg 0-11 St Mels 1-7: A point in the fourth minute of stoppage time by Colm Doran at O'Connor Park, Tullamore, on Saturday saw Knockbeg win the Leinster senior A football title for the first time in 50 years.
The sides were level at the break with Knockbeg opening the scoring in the ninth minute when Paddy Byrne slotted over.
A good raid down the centre in the second half saw Mark Smith score the only goal which saw St Mel's take the lead for the first time. Knockbeg were level on 48 minutes when Seán O'Shea pointed and just as the game looked as if it was going to extra-time Doran converted the winning point.
