CAMOGIE: TWO CLUBS won their first ever Munster club titles at the weekend. Tipperary's Drom and Inch claimed the Munster senior title by defeating the Cork side Douglas 2-8 to 1-5, while Kilmaley of Clare won the junior crown by beating Gaultier, of Waterford, 2-10 to 3-3.

Drom now meet Athenry - who beat Pearses 3-9 to 0-7 in the Galway final - in next weekend's All-Ireland semi-final.

Carnacon's third crown

CARNACON WERE forced to dig deep in Kiltimagh yesterday to carve out a 3-7 to 2-5 win and claim their third Connacht senior football title following victory over Roscommon's St Brigid's.

Donaghmoyne of Monaghan and Moville of Donegal will, however, have to meet again following their draw, 0-5 apiece, in the Ulster final at Galbally.

Laois side Sarsfields advanced to a Leinster final clash with Clonee of Wexford; the Mountmellick outfit posted a 1-9 to 1-7 win over the 2007 Leinster title holders Ballyboden St Enda's.
