Drunken Disorderly returned from a lengthy absence to make a successful chasing debut at last month's Listowel festival and Charlie Swan's runner can follow up in today's Grade Three highlight at Punchestown.
Formerly trained by David Wachman, Drunken Disorderly was always prominent for his new handler when returning from 17 months off in some style at Listowel.
Some decent sorts were behind him that day and if there is no "bounce" effect in the Visa International Novice Chase, he will be hard for the likes of Medicinal and Rindoon to peg back.
The day's other black type event is the Listed mares hurdle and the 127 rating that Blazing Sky boasts makes a pretty convincing argument for her getting home first. What's New has topweight in the two-and-a-half-mile handicap hurdle but Christy Roche's four-year-old was a good winner at Ballinrobe last month and should still go well.
