A brace of goals within 16 minutes from Trevor Molloy sent Bohemians on their way into the second round after a facile 6-2 win over first division Dublin City at Dalymount Park.

Molloy shot home his first from a sixth-minute penalty following a Thomas McGauley hand-ball. The Bohemains striker then claimed his second 10 minutes later.

Glen Crowe added Bohemians' third goal on 34 minutes and Dublin City got a goal back when Paul Crowley headed home nine minutes into the second-half.

But Crowe connected with a Gary O'Neill cross to fire in off a post for Bohemians's fourth goal 20 minutes from time. O'Neill added a fifth eight minutes later before former Bohemians stirker Brendan Markey got a second for Dublin City on 81 minutes. Bohemians had the last say, however, with Dave Morrison getting their sixth three minutes from the end.
