Thomas `Mossy' McGrane, Dublin's left half forward, scored a total of 1-10 as Dublin's under21 hurlers demolished holders Wexford in the second half of this extraordinary Leinster semi-final at Dr Cullen Park, Carlow, last evening.
An assured Wexford side took control of the first half and Chris McGrath's 15th-minute goal provided the platform for Wexford's substantial 1-9 to 0-4 interval lead. The Dubs seemed dead and buried. Remarkably, within 12 minutes of the restart they were level and although they were level again with 13 minutes remaining, Dublin's superior fitness proved the key factor.
