A LATE-goal blitz proved decisive for Dublin South at Sancta Maria College yesterday.
Leading by 3-8 to 2-8 with five minutes left, Dublin South finished with goals from Glen Whelan (2), and one each from Niko Salvino, Stephen Harrington and Brian McCarty. The Dublin side’s Karl Russell landed a third-minute goal and Naoise Greene’s goal before half-time gave them 2-4 to 0-5 lead.
Greene hit a second goal three minutes after the break but Enniscorthy hit back with a penalty from Farrell and on 49 minutes when Seán O’Gorman goaled but then came the Dublin rally.
