SLIGO SFC FINAL/Tourlestrane 1-12 Coolera, Strandhill 0-8:BRIAN EGAN kicked eight points as Tourlestrane regained the Owen B Hunt Cup in a mediocre final at Markievicz Park yesterday.

Both sides finished the game with 14 players, Tourlestrane’s John Quinn red carded after 51 minutes and Coolera’s Niall Murphy for a second bookable offence four minutes later.

Coolera cut the deficit to three with less than five minutes left but their hopes of a replay vanished when James Leonard goaled in the 58th minute. Tourlestrane were awarded a penalty in stoppage time but Brian Egan sent the ball over the bar. Egan had opened the scoring with a point after 10 seconds while it took Coolera six minutes to score courtesy of Alan Costello.
