Eire Og from Carlow Town won their 22nd senior county football championship title at Dr Cullen Park, Carlow yesterday in a disappointing final against Rathvilly.
Eire Og, winners of four Leinster club titles during the 1990s, were always the better side but were untypically wasteful in attack. They spurned three golden chances to score goals in the opening half and led only 0-4 to 0-3 at half-time.
