Punters, it seems, are expected to keep faith with Ernie Els, despite his failure to justify the role of favourite in Perth last weekend. Clearly the hope is that he will perform better on native terrain when the South African Open starts at Durban CC on Thursday.
Els is once again favourite, this time at 4 to 1, despite the presence of World Matchplay champion Vijay Singh and the gifted New Zealander, Frank Nobilo.
