Exclusive can underline her credentials for the Sagitta 1000 Guineas at Newmarket next month by winning the Shadwell Stud Nell Gwyn Stakes at Newmarket tomorrow.

Michael Stoute's daughter of Polar Falcon has been working very well on the Newmarket gallops this spring, if the weight of money for her for the first fillies' Classic is any guide.

She is now 6 to 1 second favourite in Ladbrokes' 1000 Guineas list and can cement her claims in the race named in the honour of Charles II's, er, orange seller.

Exclusive, a half-sister to last year's 2000 Guineas winner and Derby failure Entrepreneur, made her debut as a two-year-old in a seven-furlong conditions race at Kempton in September.

Sent off the 100 to 30 second favourite in a field of eight, she lengthened to the front when asked for an effort by Richard Quinn and was soon in command, having a length and three-quarters to spare over Lord Huntingdon's Celtic Cross at the line.

The manner of that win convinced connections that she was good enough for the Group One Fillies' Mile at Ascot later that month, and Exclusive justified their faith with a good third to Glorosia, unable to quicken through the final furlong.

Henry Cecil's Jibe, who re-opposes, finished second but, as a prospective Oaks filly, it remains to be seen whether she will be able to cope with the step back to seven furlongs.

Monaassib can repeat his win of 12 months ago in the Listed Equity Financial Abernant Stakes.
