Cork v Laois: All-Ireland champions Cork go into today's women's football All-Ireland senior semi-final against Laois on the back of strong forceful displays, but they have yet to come up against a team as ruthless in front of goal as themselves.
Laois have scored more goals than any other team in this year's championship and they know how to consolidate a lead once in front. Laois have the strike force to trouble the champions but they emerged from a weak Leinster championship and have not yet been fully tested.
The experience of Cork's Juliet Murphy, Valerie Mulcahy and Mary O'Connor should be enough to see them through in what could be a high-scoring tie.
Clare take on Sligo in the women's junior semi-final at the same venue with the throw-in taking place at 3.15pm.
