This game exploded into life in the dying minutes to leave the attendance stunned by five minutes of spellbinding rugby at Donnybrook on Saturday. Munster's second-half performance deserved its reward and when flanker, Paul Neville, broke past two tackles to score with two minutes left, Munster were suddenly 21-20 ahead. But, with the referee adding on injury time, replacement Leinster out-half Neil O'Donovan struck a 40-metre drop goal that looked like denying Munster.
However, Leinster infringed in a desperate effort to stem the resultant Munster onslaught and right wing Tom Cregan slotted the winner.
