Robbie Farrell hit his 13th goal of the season as Dublin City regained the leadership of the National League First Division with a battling 2-1 win at Cobh Ramblers on Saturday night.
Farrell scored three minutes into the second half to add to Cathal O'Connor's opening goal, which came after just 26 seconds.
Bottom-placed Cobh, missing four regulars, hit back through Donal Golden on 62 minutes.
Dublin goalkeeper Paul Flood had to make three vital saves late on from Willie Bruton, Anthony Wolfe and Golden to clinch the three points.
Elsewhere, Finn Harps got back to winning ways with a 3-1 home defeat of Athlone Town while Waterford United beat Sligo Rovers 2-1 at the Showgrounds. The victories gave both clubs a share of second place with Drogheda United.
A Noel Hunt goal on 31 minutes and a 53rd-minute penalty from David Whittle put Waterford in command against Sligo, whose consolation came from Rafael Cretaro 19 minutes from time.
Kevin McHugh scored his 20th league goal of the season to set Harps on their way after 27 minutes against Athlone at Finn Park.
Stephen Mullen equalised for Athlone four minutes later, but Harps' second-half pressure told on 75 minutes when Neil Fitzhenry forced the ball home from close range.
Player-manager Jonathan Speak ran clear onto McHugh's pass to add the third a minute from the end.
