Cork City v Shelbourne: Shelbourne at last came good on Friday when seeing off the challenge of Roddy Collins' Shamrock Rovers with a convincing 2-0 victory in the Premier Division tie at Dalymount Park.
"We played well - but it is still very early days. That is why the players were back in training on Saturday morning. We made the the journey to Cork yesterday and stayed overnight to ensure all the players were fully rested. That's how important we view the Setanta Cup," said manager Pat Fenlon.
Cork flattered to deceive when held to a 1-1 draw by Bray Wanderers at Turner's Cross on Friday. Striker John O'Flynn is still ruled out with a hip injury but Kevin Doyle, back from under-21 duty in Israel, is likely to figure in the attack "The next game cannot come quick enough for us as there was a lot of disappointment in the dressingroom after the Bray game. Hopefully we can sort out our problems prior to the Shels game," said Cork boss Damien Richardson.
