Fermanagh - 1-17 Clare 2-8: Fermanagh were full value for their six-point win at Cusack Park, Ennis, yesterday. They would have been much further in front at the end but for the concession of two late goals.
Despite having corner back Ryan McCluskey dismissed on a yellow as early as the second minute, they regrouped to produce a superb performance and easily dismissed a poor Clare effort. By half-time the visitors were 0-10 to 0-4 ahead, producing some fine scores from the likes of Mark Little, Martin McGrath and Ryan Keenan.
From the beginning of the second half it was evident there was a gulf in class, with Fermanagh producing three points in the first five minutes. When Keenan produced a goal in the 63rd minute Clare trailed by 1-16 to 0-8. Late goals by Stephen Hickey and Dessie Molohan failed to take the gloss off an impressive Fermagh display.
