Darren Clarke will play at Carlow for the first time tomorrow in an event that should form a memorable part of the club's centenary celebrations. Clarke will give a free clinic, open to the public, at 11 a.m. before playing nine holes with club members. Later in the week Clarke will team up with Lee Westwood to put on a golf show exclusively for junior members of the clubs providing marshals for the Smurfit European Open. That will take place on the practice ground at the K-Club following the first round on Friday. Some of the lucky participants will get to hit shots under the watchful eyes of the men currently ranked two and three in the European Ryder Cup rankings.
