French first division side Paris St Germain are to face charges of racism after they allegedly refused to sell a ticket to a black supporter. The charges have been brought by SOS-Racisme and will be heard in a Paris court on December 9th.

According to SOS-Racisme one of their members of Senegal origin went to the the PSG shop to buy a ticket for the match against Bordeaux last May.

Although white supporters were sold tickets to the Boulogne stand, where the fanatical PSG supporters gather, the SOS-Racisme member was refused. He later managed to get a ticket elsewhere but was then refused entry. No doubt, the kind, caring and sensitive security guard on the gate told him it was for his own safety.
