After a puff piece on the legal muscle builder Creatine in an earlier edition of the in - house GAA magazine High Ball this month's publication goes further in promoting the highly charged substance by running a large colour add.
The original High Ball piece acknowledged that further research should be done to learn more about the nutritional aid while others view the supplement as a possible gateway to illegal substance usage, particularly at schools level.
Many rugby playing schools have prohibited their players from using Creatine until more research establishes it's total safety and benefit.
Alongside the once banned magazine In Dublin in the Mike Hogan stable, High Ball conveniently provides a mobile number which anyone can call to avail of the catalogue service. Judging too from the vanilla and chocolate flavours in the illustrations, a younger age group is the obvious target audience. It is most interesting to see that the GAA have embraced the product which claims to be "the most effective supplement for increasing strength, energy, power and performance". On second thoughts, the ad may very well sit comfortably in the back pages of In Dublin.
