The worst record in the league has to be placed in the context of how well Westmeath did last year. Unfortunately, since securing promotion against Armagh in March of last year, the county has just one single win, over Carlow in the championship, to show from its last 15 competitive fixtures, comprising nine league, two championship, one qualifier and three O’Byrne Cup matches.
