Pending medical advice will decide whether Clare hurling manager Davy Fitzgerald is healthy enough to attend the All-Ireland quarter-final against Galway this Sunday afternoon in Thurles.

After feeling ill on Tuesday, Fitzgerald was kept overnight in the Galway Clinic before being moved to Dublin for additional tests.

It remains unclear if the 44-year-old’s current issues are in any way related to the heart surgery he underwent in 2009.
