The football purists may bemoan the lack of quality in this tense and at times exciting Leitrim final, but deserved victors Melvin Gaels weren't complaining after waiting 36 years to capture the title. The decisive score came from David McNulty whose long speculative shot dropped into the net after deceiving the Sean Heslin defence.
