Galileo remained on course for an audacious tilt at the crown of Europe's champion miler yesterday.

He was among 45 entries unveiled for the Queen Elizabeth II Stakes at Ascot, scene of his victory in the King George VI And Queen Elizabeth Diamond Stakes last month.

The Irish colt had earlier won the Epsom Derby and Irish Derby over the same mile-and-a-half trip but connections are considering trying him over a mile on September 29th, three weeks after his bid for the 10-furlong Irish Champion Stakes at Leopardstown.
