Connacht League:GMIT chalked up their second win on the trot in the Connacht League at Menlough yesterday.
The students, buoyed by their win over Leitrim, trailed by just a point at the break having played against the strong wind in a free-flowing game devoid of a single sin-binning.
Sligo led by just 0-8 to 0-7 at the break and went 26 minutes without scoring in the second half to give new manager Dominic Corrigan plenty of food for thought.
GMIT scored eight points without reply as they took control after the restart and their defence held firm to contain a late Sligo rally.
