Good Counsel College, New Ross, showed their class when running in four second-half tries to beat Wilson's Hospital in their Junior Cup game in Portarlington yesterday. Two tries in the opening 12 minutes from Damian Hennessey and Marcus Walsh gave Good Counsel into a 10-3 lead. Wilson's Hospital responded with a Keith Weafer try, converted by Alan Shortt, to tie the sides 10-10 at the interval.
Two early second-half tries from Steve Doyle and Eugene Clune put Good Counsel into a commanding 20-10 lead and they went onto a record a comfortable victory.
