SCHOOLS' PLATE: Scrumhalf Ronan Greally sniped between two tacklers for the only try of the game that ultimately gave Castleknock College a 10-6 victory over Clongowes Wood College in the Leinster Schools Senior Plate final at Donnybrook yesterday.
Outhalf Robbie Lawlor put Clongowes ahead from a sixth minute penalty. Second row Peter Conway was wide with two shots before number eight Tom Walsh levelled in the 17th minute.
Greally picked up a ball that squirted loose from a maul to weave inside two opponents in the 28th minute, and Walsh converted for a 10-3 lead at the interval. Lawlor's second penalty, in the 52nd minute, made it interesting to the end.

FARRELL MOVE: Britain rugby league captain Andy Farrell has sealed his code switch and joined rugby union Premiership side Saracens.,
The English Rugby Football Union (RFU), which identified Farrell as a potential England player, agreed a deal with his Super League side Wigan early this month and have been in negotiations to place the 29-year-old with a union club since.
Farrell will be unveiled at a news conference at Saracens' Vicarage Road ground tomorrow.
Farrell, who has never played the 15-man game, has appeared in 34 consecutive Tests for Britain since his debut in 1993. He was named captain, aged 21, in 1996.
An accomplished goal-kicker, he is Super League's highest points scorer with 2,376 and was named rugby league's International Player of the Year in 2004.
His move from rugby league to union mirrors that of England's Six Nations captain Jason Robinson and New Zealand-born England centre Henry Paul, both former Wigan team-mates, and Wales captain Iestyn Harris.
