European Tour:Pádraig Harrington finished in fourth place, four shots adrift of winner Louis Oosthuizen, who came from five shots back to pip Scotland's Scott Jamieson and lift the Volvo Golf Champions title yesterday.
The 2010 Open champion recorded a joint best-of-the-day 66 at Durban Country Club to take the €350,000 first prize by one shot from Jamieson. It was the South African’s sixth European Tour title and one that elevates him to a career-high fourth in the world.
Jamieson almost forced a play-off, but his chip for eagle on the 273-yard last stopped two inches from the hole.
Harrington finished with a 68 for a 12-under tally while Shane Lowry shot a closing 70 to finish in a tie for ninth on 279, nine under par.
Darren Clarke (69) finished in a tie for 22nd two shots clear of Michael Hoey, who carded a closing 73.
