IRELAND'S WORLD PAIRS champion, Jeremy Henry (23), landed a unique double when he crushed Welsh team captain, David Wilkins, 21-6, to win the men's Home Countries singles title at Worthing, West Sussex, yesterday.
Henry, the Home Countries under-25 singles champion in 1995, became the first winner of that title to go on to capture the coveted Senior Singles trophy.
There was more success for Ireland when Davy Hamilton steered father and son, Brian and Paul Daly, to the triples title, storming back from 16-7 down to snatch a dramatic 17-16 victory in the final.
