The Hilary Golfing Society will begin their millennium programme on January 30th at the Royal Dublin Golf Club when the first of five spring outings will be played. Bill Thompson, as holder, will be seeking a fourth Johnson Matthey Gold Medal which goes to the best four nett scores from the five outing. Other outings are scheduled for Laytown and Bettystown on February 20th; Sutton on March 5th; Co Louth on March 26th and the final outing at the Portmarnock Hotel and Golf Links on April 9th.
