HOLDERS, Garbally College, are out of this year's Connacht Schools senior cup after their defeat at the hands of Colaiste Iognaid in yesterday's quarter-final at Ballinasloe.
The hosts dominated the first stages and got some reward after 10 minutes with a try by second row, Mark Breen. On 26 minutes the Colaiste Iognaid out-half, Peter O'Farrell, finished off his own run to touch down. Scrum-half Michael Roche converted to put the Galway city students 7-5 ahead.
Colaiste Iognaid sealed victory when hooker Shaun Warner went over and Roche converted.
