Ardscoil Rís 3-9 St Fintan's CBS, Doon 0-9:Powered by first-half goals from their hugely talented full forward Darach Honan and Conor Ryan, Ardscoil Rís beat Doon CBS at Croagh yesterday.
The signs were ominous at the break when Ardscoil Rís led 2-4 to 0-4 after playing into the strong wind. The towering Honan was an obvious aerial target at full forward, and his second goal, at the three-quarter stage, decided the game.
Ardscoil also had good performances from midfield duo Cathal McInerney and Kieran Kennedy.
