Galwegians have appointed former Blackrock College and Connacht coach George Hook to take charge for the remainder of the AIB League. He succeeds Joe Healy, who has stepped down because of business commitments.
Hook's priority will be to keep Galwegians out of Division Two, from whence they came last season. They have yet to win a match this season and seem certain to be involved in a relegation play-off with the club that finishes third in Division Two.
