Leitrim 0-7 Wexford 1-10:JOHN HUDSON'S 37th-minute punched goal helped Wexford kill off any hope of a Leitrim comeback at Wexford Park yesterday.
After the sides had traded points through Emlyn Mulligan and Adrian Flynn, it was the home side who went on to stretch into a 0-6 to 0-2 lead by the 13th minute and Wexford led by 0-7 to 0-2 at the interval.
Wexford scored their goal within two minutes of the restart. Matty Forde flighted a sideline kick across the face of the goal and Hudson finished.
While Wexford conceded pointed frees to Mulligan they still had a helathy lead, 1-9 to 0-6, entering the closing six minutes when both Forde and David O'Connor traded points.
