Ulster 42; Rotherham 15: Four unanswered second-half tries enabled Ulster to coast to an easy victory over Rotherham at Ravenhill last night.
But the victory may have come at a high price, as David Humphreys - only released on Thursday by the Ireland management to play a half in the friendly - hobbled off with what looked like a calf injury.
The visitors had proved a match for Ulster during the first half, scoring tries by Henrie Fourie and former Belfast Harlequins lock Louis McGowan.
But once Ulster, who had scraped to a 14-12 lead at the break, through converted touchdowns by Neil McMillan and Neil Best, unleashed big guns Humphreys, Kevin Maggs, Justin Fitzpatrick and the hugely impressive Andrew Trimble from the bench, they soon took control.
Ulster finished in style with tries by McMillan, Trimble, Humphreys and Rowan Frost.
