Castlehaven 2-9 Carbery Rangers 0-9:TWO first-half goals helped last season's beaten finalists Castlehaven reach another Cork football final after they once again proved too strong for Carbery Rangers at Páirc Uí Rinn on Saturday night.

Star forward Brian Hurley laid on the first goal for captain Seán Cahalane after 13 minutes and then finished brilliantly to the net for the second six minutes later as Castlehaven raced into a 2-2 to 0-3 ahead.

The ’Haven led 2-5 to 0-6 at the break. Carbery Rangers almost got a goal when John Hayes’s effort rebounded from an upright five minutes from half-time.

Hurley again turned on the style in the second half, scoring two of his side’s three points, with county player Mark Collins also contributing in a devastating four-minute spell that opened up an eight-point gap and left Rangers far too much to do.
