Waterford SFC Final/ Ballinacourty 3-4 Ardmore 1-7: Ballinacourty captured the Waterford title at Dungarvan yesterday.
The winners led 2-0 to 0-0 after 12 minutes, the first goal coming after Mark Ferncombe's penalty came back off the woodwork and was finished by the same player.
Four minutes later Mark Fives goaled for Ballinacourty but after Alan North had Ardmore's first point they went on to lead at half-time 1-4 to 2-0, thanks to a 29th-minute goal from James O'Donnell. But Patrick Hurney's late goal sealed the winners' first title success since 1981.
