Margaret Johnston and Jonathan Ross conjured up last ditch winners last night against Israel to keep Ireland seven points clear of England in the race for the European Indoor Bowls title in Jersey.

Johnston saw a 21-14 lead disappear as Renee Kusman scored a double at the second last end and held five shots for a draw at the last end of their fours clash. However, Johnston swooped with a final wood, taking out her opponent's bowl, cutting the deficit to four, to win 21-20.
