Once again three Irish referees have been appointed to the International Rugby Board's elite panel of 20 officials. Dubliners Alan Lewis, Donal Courtney and Alain Rolland are included and have been appointed to officiate in three Test matches on November 25th.
Courtney will referee Scotland's match against Australia in Edinburgh, while Lewis travels to Paris for France's game against Argentina. Rolland whistles in England's clash with South Africa at Twickenham.
The officials for Ireland's three autumn internationals at Lansdowne Road have also been appointed. Paul Honiss is in charge of Ireland's match against South Africa with Manus Jonker taking the Australian match. The game against the Pacific Islands will be overseen by Christophe Berdos. There has also been a number of new editions to the touch-judge/TMO panel including Ireland's George Clancy for the first time.
The appointments were made yesterday following a meeting of the match official selection committee in Dublin, where the IRB announced the match official appointments for the 29 Tests to be played in October and November, including Rugby World Cup 2007 qualifiers and the annual November Test series.
