Grezegorz Rasiak scored two quick goals after coming on as a second-half substitute to power Poland to a 3-2 victory over Ireland's world Cup qualifying opponents Israel last night.
With both teams playing with only 10 men in the final of the Valery Lobanovsky memorial tournament, Rasiak's first goal in the 77th minute levelled the scores at 2-2.
Rasiak then headed home the winner a minute from time from a free-kick 30 metres out.
The Poles drew first blood in the 19th minute when Miroslaw Szymkowiak found the net with a long drive.
Poland continued to dominate until the 36th minute, when their defence was caught napping and goalkeeper Artur Borutz ventured out of the area, upended forward Omer Golan and was sent-off.
Walid Badier immediately evened the score with the resulting free-kick through a wall of defenders.
Israel went 2-1 ahead in the 47th minute when Yaniv Katan put home a rebound off the post.

Holland made a flying start with Robben firing in after just three minutes as the home side dominated the first half.
The Chelsea winger was even quicker out of the blocks in the second half, scoring after less than 60 seconds as Marco van Basten's side looked set to run away with the game.
However, Jurgen Klinsmann's men can never be written off and Michael Ballack's goal four minutes later gave Germany a glimmer of hope and substitute Gerald Asamoah grabbed the equaliser nine minutes from time.
