CURRAGH PREVIEW:THE TOMMY Stack team can kick off the countdown to the Breeders' Cup with a couple of winners at the Curragh today where Izagonawin looks a decent bet.

She is part of a strong juvenile team for Stack this year, and two of them, Beyond Our Reach and Oui Say Oui, are entered for Friday night's new Breeders' Cup event, the Juvenile Filly Turf, at Santa Anita.

Their three-year-old stable-mate, Unsung Heroine, was just beaten by Crystal Capella in Saturday's Pride Stakes at Newmarket but she remains in training next year.

"She will go for the Yorkshire Oaks, the Park Hill and races like that," Stack's son and assistant, Fozzy, said yesterday.

Izagonawin may not be in that class, but with conditions sure to be testing today for the mile maiden her third to Turin Lady over the course and distance on similar ground last time looks significant.

Stack will also fancy his chances in the older fillies maiden with Pollen, whose 87 rating reads pretty well for such a race at this time of year.

Dermot Weld introduces the well-bred newcomer Miss Ghena in the first race, but The Bull Hayes ran well to be sixth in the Goffs Million and should be fine in the conditions.
