Galway SFC Semi-final replay/ Killererin 0-12 NUI Galway 1-7: Killererin set up a Galway football final showdown with Milltown when they beat NUI Galway in their semi-final replay at Tuam Stadium yesterday.
It wasn't until a Pádraic Joyce point in injury-time at the end of the game that the north Galway side were assured of victory as the students came fighting back, attacking the Killererin goal in the final minutes but will rue several chances going wide.
David Conway got the university's goal in the seventh minute after being set up by Mark Gottsche, but Killererin responded and were 0-9 to 1-4 to the good at half-time.
NUI Galway began the second half brightly with a free from Conway. With the deficit now reduced to a solitary point, Killererin then hit back with a point through Jonathon Keane and from there they managed to hold out for victory.
