GROUP F: Bayern Munich strengthened their grip on the group with a 3-0 win over Fiorentina. Miroslav Klose opened the scoring in the fourth minute, Bastian Schweinsteiger got the second midway through the first half and Ze Roberto made certain of victory in the 90th minute.
Two goals each from Karim Benzema and Fred helped Lyon beat Steaua Bucharest 5-3. Steaua led 2-0 but Kader Keita pulled one back before Benzema's equaliser.
Ovidiu Petre put Steaua ahead again but another goal from Benzema and two from Fred gave Lyon the three points.
GROUP G: Olexander Aliyev struck midway through the first half to give Dynamo Kiev a 1-0 away win against Porto.
While Dynamo recorded their first Champions League win in 16 games, Aliyev's goal put an end to Porto's unbeaten home run in Europe's premier team competition that had stretched back to 11 games.
Dynamo moved up to second place in the group with five points from three matches, two behind leaders Arsenal.
Aliyev broke the deadlock in the 27th minute when he curled in a powerful free-kick.
GROUP H: Juventus shrugged off a wobble in form to beat Real Madrid 2-1 in Turin with goals from strikers Alessandro del Piero and Amauri.
Del Piero (33) latched on to Amauri's pass and curled the ball into the top corner from 20 metres after five minutes.
Injury-hit Juventus, who had not won in five coming into the game, punished a lethargic Real again after 49 minutes when Amauri's header from Pavel Nedved's cross deflected in off Gabriel Heinze.
Ruud van Nistelrooy then nodded in unmarked for the visitors but Juve hung on despite dropping back very deep at times.
Real were on a high after beating Atletico Madrid 2-1 in last weekend's city derby but it was stuttering Juventus who came flying out of the traps.
All Real could really muster until their goal was a few long-range efforts, with Wesley Sneijder striking the post.
Real's former Juve defender Fabio Cannavaro was booed all night by the home crowd for quitting the Turin club following their demotion for match-fixing two years ago.
A minute's applause was held before kick-off after at least two Switzerland-based Juve supporters were killed and several injured when a coach crashed on its way to the game.
Home fans lightened the mood by waving thousands of black and white flags and really getting behind the twice European champions, who are back in the Champions League for the first time since the 2006 scandal.
The Serie A club take over at the top of the group with seven points from three games with the Spanish champions on six. BATE Borisov drew 1-1 at Zenit St Petersburg in the other group match.
GROUP E: Joseba Llorente came off the bench to score a hat-trick and help Villarreal see off the challenge of Aab Aalborg 6-3.
The Danes struck first when Marek Saganowski headed their first goal of the competition.
The home side reacted well with Giuseppe Rossi and Joan Capdevila netting, but the sides went in 2-2 at half-time after Thomas Enevoldsen levelled.
Llorente scored twice in three minutes to put Villarreal in command, but Andreas Johansson pulled one back, and it required late goals from Robert Pires and Llorente again to seal the victory.
