Lee Kelleher (15), the European Junior gold medalist improved her chances of competing in the World championships in Perth, Australia, next year when she took fourth place on the final day of the British Open Swimming Championships.

Competing in the £54m Sheffield Swim Complex, the young Dubliner finished in 2 minutes 19.14 seconds throwing out a challenge to Michelle Smith in the bid for places on the flight to Perth.

Margaretha Pedder of Portsmouth, Northsea, was first in two minutes 13.59 seconds.
